Patti Kanter, Account Executive for Tandus

Patti Kanter and I met for coffee recently.  It was a pleasure to get to know her personally and become acquainted with her line of business.  Patti is an account executive for Tandus, the fourth largest commercial carpet manufacture of the world.

Like me, Patti’s interest lies in the interior design field.  Her formative years were spent in Minnesota.  She earned her interior design degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  Her career began in the residential field while working for a well known furniture store in Phoenix.  She moved into commercial design when she took a position with an architectural firm that specialized in commercial design.  Here she discovered her passion for the commercial sector of the interior design industry.  Her next experience was the commercial carpet industry; she sold the products to the trade.  A move to Los Angeles, California put her in the mini bar segment, not only selling them, but designing custom furniture to house the units.  She took several years off from the professional world to experience the role of a stay-at-home mom for her two beautiful children.  Upon her return to Arizona in 2001 she returned to the commercial carpet industry.

For the past two years Patti has been an account executive with Tandus for the Arizona territory.  The company is a privately owned USA company out of Dalton, Georgia.  She represents three brands: Monterey, C&A and Crossley and their tag line is, “IN UNISON” through design, sustainability and technology, which results in the delivery of extremely green and environmentally safe products for their clients and the public.  Patti appreciates the company’s medium price point and high end design products, such as carpet tiles and Powerbond.   All of which work in conjunction with each other and makes for a wonderful end product.  To Patti the perfect client is an architect, interior designer or end user that understands the features and benefits of the product and is committed to completing the project.

Patti knows her products…she is passionate, well informed, experienced and an expert in the commercial carpet industry.  Give her a call for your project, she’ll take excellent care of you and your project needs.

Gia Heller – The Robin-hood of Real Restate

I had the pleasure of sharing a good cup of coffee and an enlightened conversation with Gia recently. This is the first opportunity I’ve had to spend time with her one on one. She is an intelligent, high energy and dynamic lady with a generous warm heart.

Gia begin her early life in Long Island, New York. As a young child she experience diversity. Her classroom settings had children from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and economic statuses. She also was exposed to the wonderful arts, entertainment and culture that New York has to offer, something many of us don’t experience until later years. It wasn’t until she left in 1990 to attend college in Arizona did she realize what a wonderful experience she had as a child. Gia has remained in the valley except for a short period she spent abroad. She and her family left the Phoenix area for three years and moved to Rocky Point, Mexico where she was top producer three years running. They returned to the valley in September 2008 and Gia started a new chapter in her life.

Since February, Gia is a commercial real estate broker with Phoenix Realty Advisors. She started out in the retail sector but once she experienced office leasing and purchasing, she was hooked. Gia is passionate, professional and selling comes naturally to her. She is one of few women in a male dominated business. She does it with class, knowledge, and most importantly by being an advocate for her clients. Their best interest is her top priority. When it comes time for me to seek retail condo space Gia is the woman for me. I know she’ll be my “Robin-Hood” as she works hard to negotiate for the little guy against the ever savvy Landlord.

I have experienced her leadership skills as the founding member of Arizona Women Networking while conducting the bi-monthly meeting. She is a forward thinking woman who is knowledgeable and confident about the subjects she covers. This is evident in her business practice, philosophies as well as her networking venture. She has the fore-sight to see the direction of how future business marketing and transactions will be conducted. She brings immeasurable value to the all women networking group by empowering the members with her research skills, knowledge and engaging sales talent.

Gia Heller is an amazing woman. Let her be your “Robin-Hood of Real Estate”, your best interest is her top priority.
